About This File

A pack of 38ft tank cars lettered for various owners. These were commonly seen anywhere from their inception in the 1920's up until the late 70's.

Please note, this is a preliminary beta release.

Tested in TANE and all have the same Errors:

1. The ground plain has some odd texture Error, I do not like ground plains as they look awful.

2. Your lowest LOD is over 500 polys.

3. LOD 1 and 2 are under 20% lower.

4. LOD 2 has two "vents" on top of dome and LOD 1 has only one.

5. The grab irons look to thin.

6. Looks like you used a double sided texture, this gives you 2x the polys.

Over all not bad looking for a beta test.

Thanks guys!

Whitepass, as far as the mesh issues, I can't fix those since these skins are on Fitz505's model.

So far I'm not supporting T:ANE whatsoever. Sorry guys, but y'all are on your own if you want these in T:ANE.

Right now I'm prepping another rolling stock pack to go up in the next few days, pending permissions and such.

I don't really have much feedback beyond Whitepass.  I think overall the cars look great, they run fine in Trainz Mac 2, but I'm seeing a similar problem as Whitepass noted in T:ANE for Mac (including the SP1 beta that was just made available), there's an error loading the groundplane.tga texture.   I tried re-saving the file and a few other things but it seems that it just doesn't want to load in T:ANE.

Overall I like it as I'm sure I'll get some enjoyment out of it as I'm sure I'll still be running Trainz Mac 2 for some time until T:ANE is a little more stable but it would be great to get them working in T:ANE as well.

Thank you very much for making these available!

Regards and thanks,

Mark
